Job Overview

BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Medical Director for Geriatric Care to lead our team of healthcare professionals in providing exceptional care to our residents and patients.

Salary: $250,000 - $300,000 per year

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality geriatric care to residents and patients across various assisted living and skilled nursing facilities
  • Collaborate with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members to achieve excellent patient outcomes
  • Supervise and support nurse practitioners and physician assistants in their clinical roles
  • Audit medical orders and documentation for each provider monthly to ensure compliance with state and regional regulations
  • Assume medical directorships for skilled and/or other senior living facilities as needed
  • Pursue new growth opportunities with skilled facilities and/or other senior living facilities in the market/region
  • Participate in company-wide call processes to respond to acute changes of condition and prevent avoidable hospital transfers

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of medicine and a Doctor of Medicine degree
  • Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare
  • Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the state of employment
  • Active unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration registration
