Job Title: Family Health Coordinator

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services is seeking a highly skilled Family Health Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Family Health Services division, you will play a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of Texas children and their families/caregivers.

Job Summary:

The Family Health Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating efforts to improve the health and well-being of Texas children and their families/caregivers. This will involve planning strategic initiatives with internal and external stakeholders, providing training and education, and offering technical assistance. The successful candidate will have a strong ability to work across operational and programmatic silos, take initiative, and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Convene staff across HHSC, DSHS, and other relevant state agencies to promote positive outcomes for Texas children and their families/caregivers.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and develop materials for workgroups and meetings.
  • Act as an advisor to the Family Health Services division and the office of the Chief Program and Services Officer on needs, trends, and emerging best practices related to children's health and well-being.
  • Attend work regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the Texas family health system and a commitment to delivering high-quality public services.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and legislative and rulemaking processes.
  • Strong research and policy development skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make public presentations and write technical information in an understandable format.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
