About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage financial reporting, month-end close, inventory accounting, and tax compliance for our supplement distribution company.

Our ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Month-End Close: Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy of all financial data.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and stock reconciliation.
  • Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage invoicing, payments, and vendor/customer account reconciliations.
  • Tax Compliance: Assist with preparation and filing of sales tax and other required taxes.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during audits and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial performance and provide insights for cost control and profitability.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required), CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, including inventory accounting and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite), strong Excel skills, and knowledge of GAAP and tax regulations.
