Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispatcher to join our team at Carroll Concrete Company/Newport Sand & Gravel Co., Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dispatching, customer service, and ready-mix batching operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor mixer and pump truck status to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum equipment and labor utilization.
  • Work closely with Plant Managers, Mixer Drivers, Pump Operators, Area Managers, and Dispatch Manager to schedule trucks and jobs based on hours of service per DOT laws.
  • Assist other team members as necessary and work safely, wearing proper personal protective equipment as needed.
  • Notify manager of any work-related injuries or accidents immediately and perform multiple tasks under stressful situations over long periods of time while maintaining proper composure.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of dispatching experience is required.
  • Ready-mix batching experience and experience operating a mixer truck is a plus.
  • 5 years of customer service experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent reading, writing, and math skills, including map reading.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays, and adapt to changes quickly.
