Job Overview

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our post-surgical team. As a Post Surgical Nursing Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and outcomes.

Job Summary

This rewarding position involves coordinating and implementing nursing care for patients recovering from surgical procedures. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, address patient needs, and promote optimal recovery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their unique needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Coordinate and implement evidence-based nursing interventions to ensure effective pain management, wound care, and overall patient well-being
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve seamless transitions of care and enhance patient outcomes
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including progress notes, medication lists, and treatment plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure informed decision-making and mutual understanding
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will possess:

  • A current RN license in the State of Tennessee
  • At least 1 year of experience in a post-surgical setting or related field
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to lift up to 250 lbs with assistance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other relevant software systems
