Job Summary

VIA Centers for Neurodevelopment is seeking a highly skilled Quality Improvement Manager-Staff Development to join our team. This role will be responsible for supporting the development of knowledge and skills in applied behavior analytic principles and evidence-based practices for VIA staff, as well as assisting in efforts to achieve the best possible outcomes for individuals served.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a variety of trainings to assure quality programming and instruction across all departments.
  • Maintain and refine a standard orientation period, including an on-boarding calendar with a standardized schedule of training opportunities and activities for front-line direct care staff.
  • Design, develop, and deliver an annual curricula to train staff on best practices in ABA and autism.
  • Collaborate with Director of Human Resources, Program Directors, and Clinical Directors to develop an annual schedule of trainings related to supervision and best practice in autism treatment.
  • Evaluate each training and develop an annual report of the effectiveness of the trainings delivered during the past year with recommendations for future curriculum.
  • Regularly review RBT training system to ensure that content is congruent with VIA-specific practices and procedures as well as the BACB standards for training.
  • Update current standardized training manual as needed.
  • Assist in monitoring staff performance and provide direct feedback on an ongoing basis.
  • Supervise and implement staff reinforcement/reward systems.
  • Coordinate required training for physical management certification.
  • Coordinate First Aid/CPR/AED training with School Nurse.
  • Collect and analyze data on the trainees, training program, and economic impact of the training program, and reassess/modify the program as necessary to achieve established goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in special education, psychology, or related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst certified.
  • Valid Virginia license in Behavior Analysis.
  • Experience working as a BCBA for 3-5 years (preferred).
  • Extensive knowledge and skills in applied behavior analysis and evidence-based strategies for learners with autism and other developmental disabilities.
