LinQuest, a KBR Company, is seeking an experienced HVAC Senior Operations Manager to lead our Chantilly, VA or Springfield, VA team. This critical role requires active Top Secret with SCI eligibility and willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as needed.

About the Role

This is a key position within our National Security Solutions team, which provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. As an HVAC Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of HVAC services, ensuring they meet contract requirements, design specifications, schedules, cost budgets, and quality standards.

You will provide leadership to create organizational structures and processes necessary to effectively execute HVAC services, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities. Your expertise will also be crucial in evaluating progress, advising the project team on status, issues, potential impacts, risks, and cost influencing factors of ongoing scope.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with project planning by providing input to identify key success factors, appropriate timing for design and procurement deliverables, and help establish common work breakdown structures.
  • Provide leadership to lead the creation of organizational structures and processes necessary to effectively execute HVAC services.
  • Manage HVAC service execution by overseeing the execution of HVAC services, ensuring they meet contract requirements, design specifications, schedules, cost budgets, and quality standards.
  • Evaluate and advise by continuously evaluating the progress of HVAC service execution, advising the project team on the status, issues, potential impacts, risks, and cost influencing factors of ongoing scope.
  • Monitor safety practices by overseeing the implementation of safety orientations, safety indoctrinations, and gang box meetings, providing coaching to improve safety practices among the crew.
  • Oversee crew organization and compliance by monitoring the organizational structure of the crew, including sizing, crew mix ratios, and compliance with wage regulations.
  • Manage costs and budgets by reviewing and monitoring the cost and man-hour budget for the HVAC installation process, making adjustments as necessary to stay within financial limits.
  • Develop resource plans by developing plans for staffing, facilities, equipment, and tools required to meet project needs, ensuring resources are effectively allocated and used.
  • Maintain quality control by implementing and maintaining quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.
  • Facilitate team communication by ensuring clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.
  • Enhance crew performance by identifying areas for improvement within the crew's performance and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in operations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.
  • Technical or Vocational Training: Advanced training from a technical school or community college in HVAC systems is highly recommended.
  • HVAC Experience: 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Supervisory Experience: 3+ years of experience managing teams in an HVAC setting, overseeing projects, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.
  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
Clearance Requirements

Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.
