Salary Range

The estimated salary for this role is between $65,000 and $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This range is based on industry standards and the requirements of the position.

Job Description

As an EDL Technician I, you will be responsible for various tasks within the Protoshop environment. Your duties may include machining, painting, fabrication of sheet metal details, and assembly operations utilizing moderately complex blueprints. You will interpret sketches, query reports, and function with verbal instructions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years of experience working in manufacturing or a related environment is required.
  • Experience working in an experimental or prototype environment, or manufacturing setting dealing with modifications to designs, components, or assemblies is preferred.
  • A working knowledge of MRP systems, scheduling, and blueprints is preferred.
  • Must have some knowledge of CAD systems.
  • Experience with NC programming is preferred.
  • Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
  • Ability to read and review written communication.
  • Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment. Finger dexterity is needed in using miscellaneous office equipment such as a telephone, computer, and copy machine. Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to approximately twenty pounds are required during tasks related to the job. The work environment includes an office setting with moderate office noise.
