Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate individual to join our team as a Hospice Volunteer Coordinator at Home Health Care, Inc. This pivotal role requires strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a deep understanding of hospice care principles.

The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and nurturing a team of volunteers dedicated to providing comfort and companionship to patients and their families during end-of-life care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Volunteer Recruitment: Identify, screen, and interview potential volunteers, ensuring they meet the agency's requirements and align with the hospice's mission.
  • Training and Orientation: Develop and conduct comprehensive orientation programs for volunteers, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide quality care and support.
  • Assignment and Supervision: Match volunteers with appropriate assignments based on patient needs and volunteer skills, and provide ongoing supervision and support to ensure their effectiveness.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration between volunteers, the hospice interdisciplinary team, patients, and their families to ensure seamless coordination of care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as social work, psychology, or human services is often preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience in Volunteer Management: Demonstrated experience in recruiting, training, and coordinating volunteers, preferably in a healthcare or hospice setting.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to engage with volunteers, patients, families, and the hospice team effectively.

$52,000 - $72,000 per year Salary Range: Based on industry standards, we offer a competitive salary range reflecting the importance of this role in delivering high-quality patient care.
