Exercise Physiologist

As an Exercise Physiologist with SSM Health, you will play a vital role in the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation team. Your primary responsibility will be to develop exercise prescriptions and oversee exercise progression in patients with cardiovascular or pulmonary disease. You will provide exercise information to patients, peers, and the community through public speaking and education classes. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and contribute to the success of our rehabilitation team.
Responsibilities:
Develop exercise prescriptions and oversee exercise progression in patients with cardiovascular or pulmonary disease
Provide exercise information to patients, peers, and the community through public speaking and education classes
Assess hemodynamic response and patient tolerance to activity progression and utilize information to provide appropriate exercise prescription
Perform appropriate documentation of monitored ambulation, education, and discharge planning per departmental policies, guidelines, and practices
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
No experience required
Work Environment:
This role is a day shift position with a scheduled weekly hours of 36.
