Job Summary:

The City of Manassas is seeking a highly skilled Family Services Specialist II to join our team. This part-time position is responsible for providing outreach services to share preventative and recovery resources, participating in community events, and interpreting laws, policies, and regulations as applied to specific areas of responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outreach services to share preventative and recovery resources
  • Participate in community events
  • Interpret laws, policies, and regulations as applied to specific areas of responsibility
  • Write service plans
  • Schedule family and team meetings
  • Present cases to determine appropriate services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human services or any bachelor's degree plus two years' experience in human services
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop and implement service plans
  • Ability to make sound judgments within the framework of existing laws, policies, and regulations

Work Schedule:
