Job Description
As a Sales Development Representative at UPG Enterprises, you will play a key role in driving revenue growth and building strong relationships with customers in the steel industry.

Your Role
As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities within business accounts, consistently looking for ways to grow your assigned book of business. You will be assigned to specific accounts and markets, diligently building strategic competitive advantage through the management of current and new customers and/or markets. Your goal will be to build strong relationships with our customers by providing high levels of service, value-add opportunities, and professionalism in all interactions, allowing us to become a valued member of their supply chain and production teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Focused Approach
    • IDentify the needs of each customer and tailor specific solutions that create value, revenue, and profitability
    • Establish strategic capabilities and leverage these to gain a competitive advantage
    • Maintain product knowledge and understanding of customer needs/requirements
    • Interact directly with customers to provide status updates and fulfill service needs
  • Drive for Results
    • Develop and implement business plans and sales strategies for targeted accounts to achieve assigned sales goals
    • Ensure accurate, detailed information to internal and external partners
    • Meet and exceed sales results, company goals, and customer satisfaction
    • Maintain adaptability - ability to work independently as well as a member of our team
  • Collaboration
    • Capture customer job specifications and accurately maintain updates within the Company's ERP system
    • Oversee and ensure successful fulfillment of orders, working closely Production Planning, Warehousing, and Purchasing to ensure on-time delivery and communicate changes or delays to the customer
    • Actively retrieve purchase orders from customer portals
    • Enter customer orders, providing relevant information to internal and external parties
    • Maintain accurate customer profile information
    • Manage all customer relationships with internal business partners to help ensure timely resolution of the order to cash process

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1-2 years Inside Sales experience required
  • Manufacturing and Steel sales experience preferred
  • Experience using ERP systems - PS Data and MIS preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with Steel Industry, preferred
