Swim Instructor Assistant Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Swim Instructor Assistant. As a key member of our aquatics program, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of youth and adults in our community.

Salary and Benefits

Job Responsibilities

As a Swim Instructor Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a safe and enjoyable environment. Your primary duties will include:

  • Shadowing certified swim instructors to learn programming and emergency procedures
  • Providing support to swimmers of all ages and skill levels
  • Maintaining a clean and organized pool area
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 16
  • Ability to swim at Stage 4 level or higher
  • Patience and excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
Work Environment

This is a part-time position that requires working Monday-Saturday, with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of the branch. You must be able to remain alert and focused in a warm pool environment, with the ability to recognize and remedy hazardous situations.
