Job Summary

The Colville Tribes is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care to our residents at the Convalescent Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care, supervising nursing activities, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including assessing their needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to promote their health and well-being.
  • Supervise and direct the activities of Nursing Assistants, ensuring that they provide high-quality care and adhere to established standards and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, share knowledge, and improve outcomes.
  • Conduct regular assessments of residents' conditions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance their care.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, ensuring that they are up-to-date and reflect the latest information.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Washington.
  • Possession of CPR certification.
  • Ability to relate clearly and concisely information concerning a resident's condition.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Long-term-care nursing knowledge and medical practices.
  • Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 50 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry said weight a minimum of 30 feet.
  • Knowledge of resident abuse and neglect and the Mandatory Reporting procedures.
  • Knowledge of resident rights.
