Job Overview

Range Commercial Partners, Inc. is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, FL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine repairs, emergency maintenance, and preventive maintenance on assigned properties or accounts.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, and HVAC.
  • Receive and complete work orders for corrective repair work on a variety of building physical structures, equipment, and system components.
  • Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside contractors.
  • Maintain lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
  • Order necessary materials to complete all required repairs, within limits set by the Property Manager.
  • Complete all required paperwork within established deadlines to close out work orders.
  • Maintain and renew any required trade certifications and licenses.
  • Meet with the assigned Property Manager to ensure that all aspects of required or requested maintenance work are achieving the goals and objectives established to maintain the property.
  • Ensure that requests for work that exceed routine day-to-day repairs or maintenance are properly referred and routed to the Chief Engineer for review.
  • Be responsible for 24/7 vehicle readiness as part of the maintenance position.
  • Promptly report unusual events or conditions discovered on assigned properties to the Property Manager and the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Perform work in accordance with all Federal and State OSHA guidelines and requirements.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the job, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Requirements
  • High school education.
  • Advanced knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, roofing, drywall, carpentry, and HVAC troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers, with the ability to present information.
  • Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles to understand operating budgets.
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents.
  • Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations that require intermediate analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Uses computer and phone for work order system, email, and training. Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook.
  • Decisions made with thorough knowledge of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Responsible for setting own project deadlines.
  • Must always use professional judgment and decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and will need to be able to adapt to shift priorities efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent collaboration and written and verbal communication skills required to effectively communicate with diverse populations are essential.
