Job Overview

The Registered Nurse Float Pool is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients on various acute inpatient units at HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest. This role requires a strong understanding of nursing practices and excellent communication skills to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams and provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver professional nursing care to assigned patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of treatment plans.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Delegate tasks to nursing staff as necessary to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution or currently enrolled in a BSN program.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in an acute care setting.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment start date.
Salary and Benefits
