We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Oak View Group. As a key member of our food and beverage operation, you will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the kitchen, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a positive and compliant work environment.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4-5 years of kitchen management experience in an upscale banquet venue, hotel, or convention center. They will be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting projected costs and have a working knowledge of employee scheduling, menu planning, and food preparation and procurement.

The Executive Chef will be responsible for:

  • Managing, developing, and mentoring staff of full-time and part-time culinary employees
  • Ensuring event staff are aware of workplace expectations and providing on-going assistance, training, and mentoring
  • Controlling labor costs through effective scheduling and cross-training of employees
  • Ensuring that the purchasing and preparation of all food products meet Oak View Group's standards of quality and consistency
  • Supervising all line set-up, prep, and breakdown activities
  • Coordinating the storage, maintenance, and repair of all kitchen equipment
  • Maintaining a positive and compliant employee relations climate

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, be able to work a flexible schedule, and be willing to work nights, weekends, and long hours. They will also be able to maintain a current Food Handler's card and alcohol service permit if required by state or local government.

We offer a competitive salary of $80,000 to $90,000 per year, as well as benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan, and paid time off.
