Job Summary

Madera USD is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special needs in a specialized learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist students with special needs in a one-on-one setting, providing individualized support and accommodations as needed.
  • Implement behavioral interventions and strategies to promote positive student behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide academic and functional support to students, including assistance with homework and daily living skills.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of 48 units from a nationally accredited college or university, or A.A. degree or higher, or passage of a local assessment test.
  • One (1) year of experience working with children in a specialized learning environment.
  • CPR/First Aid Certificates required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with students with special needs.
  • Knowledge of behavioral interventions and strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
