Job Summary

Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary High School is seeking a qualified Theology teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching various Theology courses to students in grades 9-11, including Scripture, Christology, Pascal Mystery, Ecclesiology, Sacraments, and Life in Christ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Theology courses to students in grades 9-11
  • Participate in school student retreats
  • Assist with school Mass
  • Assist with the Christian Service program
  • Teach 1-2 English courses in American Literature

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in religious studies or other relevant academic area
  • Master's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or Education preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience teaching at a Catholic high school preferred
  • Knowledge of best pedagogical practices in education
  • Familiarity with USCCB's secondary religion curriculum framework
  • Archdiocesan certification or willingness to complete the program within five years
  • Proficiency in curriculum planning, instruction, and assessment
  • Experience with academic technology or willingness to be trained
