At Huntington Ingalls Industries, we are looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Project Management Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain hands-on experience in project management and develop valuable skills that will prepare them for a successful career.

The Project Management Support Intern will provide program management support for complex IT and Software Systems engineering projects. This includes coordinating with internal leaders to determine project responsibilities, identifying project phases, resource requirements, and other necessary elements. The intern will also assist in maintaining project schedules by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.

In addition to providing support for specific projects, the intern will have the opportunity to work on various tasks and activities that will help them develop their skills and knowledge in project management. These may include:

  • Assisting in the preparation of project status reports
  • Identifying and analyzing project-specific lessons learned
  • Performing administrative tasks related to project coordination and communication

To be eligible for this internship, you must be a rising junior or senior in your academic program and available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2025. You should also have a strong academic record, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
