About the Position:

This full-time appointment will be as an Assistant Teaching Professor (formerly LPSOE) with a focus on coordinating all aspects of the language curriculum from elementary to intermediate. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum changes, training lecturers and teaching associates, and contributing to the department's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum changes to ensure alignment with departmental goals and objectives
  • Train and mentor lecturers and teaching associates to enhance their teaching skills and knowledge
  • Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of the language program
  • Contribute to the department's efforts to advance a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in French, Education, or a related field. Preference will be given to applicants who have expertise in Haitian Creole, African inflections of standard French, or Canadian French, as well as experience in curriculum development and instructional design.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
