The Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking a Pediatric Otolaryngologist to join its academic practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in clinical care, teaching, and research, and will be able to contribute to the department's mission of providing comprehensive, state-of-the-art clinical care, teaching medical students/observers/residents, and engaging in clinical/translational research.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the teaching of residents, medical students, and other students/observers
Establish a reputation of excellence in clinical and/or translational research, with the expectation of publication in refereed journals and potential external funding
Serve on departmental, Health System, and/or University committees as needed
Participate in multi-disciplinary clinical endeavors
Requirements:
Board certified/eligible in Otolaryngology
Fellowship trained
Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Virginia upon hire
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at Virginia Commonwealth University
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong interest in clinical care, teaching, and research
