We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. Job Summary

As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering excellent patient care, working closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions. You will also have opportunities to participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new clinical practices.

This role is perfect for a motivated and compassionate nurse who is looking to take their career to the next level. We offer a competitive salary of $93,500 - $124,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training and education opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, assessing patients' conditions and developing individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure effective communication
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process changes
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related field
  • A current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a Compact state
  • At least one year of experience in an emergency department setting, preferably in a Level III Trauma Center
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire
