About the Role:
The GIANT Company is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Pharmacy Associate to join our team. As a Pharmacy Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the pharmacy team in delivering outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with processing prescriptions, answering phone calls, and responding to customer inquiries.
- Verify customer identification and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
Requirements:
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Meet state required minimum age.
- Successfully complete background check and drug screening.
- Read, write, communicate, and understand to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and comply with company policies and safety regulations.
- Complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
- Meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
- Use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
- Meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
- Perform all job functions safely.
Physical Requirements:
- Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs.
- Job cycles: continual max.
- Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
Preferred Requirements:
- Responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the employee manual.
- Required to follow all state and federal laws in compliance with pharmacy rules and standards.
- Know MSDS information about all materials used during work.
- Complete and follow Lockout/Tagout training.
- Complete and follow Confined Space training.
- Complete Right-to-Know training.
- Complete HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training.
- Complete all additional pharmacy training requirements.
