Job Title: Pharmacy Associate

About the Role:
The GIANT Company is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Pharmacy Associate to join our team. As a Pharmacy Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the pharmacy team in delivering outstanding patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with processing prescriptions, answering phone calls, and responding to customer inquiries.
  • Verify customer identification and maintain accurate records of transactions.
  • Work collaboratively with the pharmacy team to ensure seamless operations and maintain a clean and organized store environment.

Requirements:
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Meet state required minimum age.
  • Successfully complete background check and drug screening.
  • Read, write, communicate, and understand to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner and comply with company policies and safety regulations.
  • Complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 60 days.
  • Meet the ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as the physical base scores for this position.
  • Use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Meet the company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
  • Perform all job functions safely.

Physical Requirements:
  • Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs.
  • Job cycles: continual max.
  • Lift/carry: 50 lbs.

Preferred Requirements:
  • Responsible for understanding company policy and procedures as promulgated in the policy and procedure manual and the employee manual.
  • Required to follow all state and federal laws in compliance with pharmacy rules and standards.
  • Know MSDS information about all materials used during work.
  • Complete and follow Lockout/Tagout training.
  • Complete and follow Confined Space training.
  • Complete Right-to-Know training.
  • Complete HIPAA for Pharmacy Associates training.
  • Complete all additional pharmacy training requirements.
