Production Hose Assembler Job Description

Western Integrated Technologies (WIT) is seeking a skilled Production Hose Assembler to join our team. As a key member of our industrial fluid systems team, you will be responsible for coordinating shipping and receiving operations, learning and mastering hose assembly techniques, and efficiently picking up and delivering materials and parts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate shipping and receiving operations with multiple carriers
  • Learn and master hose assembly techniques through provided training
  • Pick up and deliver materials and parts as needed
  • Organize and restock products in the warehouse and retail shelves/bins
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse environment
  • Keep the supervisor informed about inventory status, shipments, and deliveries
  • Safely operate forklifts and other machinery required for moving heavy items within the warehouse

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Prior experience in shipping and receiving operations
  • Familiarity with UPS World Ship procedures
  • Proficient in using measurement devices such as tape measures
  • Experience in operating wood saws
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations and measurements
  • Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude
  • Exceptional attention to detail, crucial in identifying order discrepancies and product deficiencies
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Capable of working autonomously or as part of a collaborative team environment
