Job Summary

The Manufacturing Training Director will be responsible for coordinating with all manufacturing facilities personnel to meet and maintain all their training needs. This role will involve managing the Training Department of two manufacturing campuses, managing the Learning Management System, and designing training initiatives for manufacturing and other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all training initiatives in both manufacturing campuses.
  • Manage several teams in multiple locations and travel locally as necessary to train and mentor teams.
  • Participate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to training facilities and integrate information into training programs.
  • Confer with Training and Development Department Leadership and Manufacturing Management Team to determine training objectives.
  • Train Manufacturing Management Team on training initiatives, training programs, and other initiatives as directed by the Training and Development Department Leadership.
  • Observe daily operations in the manufacturing facility to determine the need for new training opportunities.
  • Train Training Specialists in the design, development, and execution of classroom and on-the-job style education.
  • Mentor Training Specialist in methods and theories of adult learning and professional development.
  • Schedule classes based on classroom, personnel, and equipment availability as needed.
  • Edit and submit classroom presentations, training exercises, and training practicums to Training and Development Department Leadership for approval.
  • Assist in presenting training programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos as needed.
  • Collect data for, create, and modify curriculum for diverse types of audiences and learning delivery methods.
  • Manage the Learning Management System and additional records of training and development activities, attendance, results of examination and assessments, and retraining requirements.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in managing training programs.
  • 3 years of experience leading and managing teams.
  • Experience creating training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials.
  • Experience delivering training to employees.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Salary

$85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location

This position will work out of our Manufacturing Facilities in Jacksonville, FL.

Work Environment

This position operates out of a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
