Job Responsibilities

As a dental hygienist at GoTu, your responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting dental health by completing dental prophylaxis, providing oral cancer screening, and radiographic studies.
  • Preparing patients for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping patients.
  • Providing information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
  • Maintaining instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments.
  • Selecting materials and equipment for dental hygiene visits by evaluating patients' oral health.
  • Completing dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins.
  • Detecting disease by completing oral cancer screening, feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession, and exposing and developing radiographic studies.
  • Arresting dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity-preventing agents.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful as a dental hygienist at GoTu, you will need to have:

  • An active dental hygiene license in OH.
  • Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • An understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills to educate patients on oral health care practice.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $45.00 - $70.00 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications. With our express pay option, you'll get paid within a day of completing a shift, ensuring that you receive fair compensation for your work.
