About the Role:
Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a critical member of our Respiratory Department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of advancing the health and well-being of our patients and communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory care to patients of all ages in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and local standards guidelines, and regulations.
  • Initiate and monitor mechanical ventilation, long-term, and transport patients as needed.
  • Administer oxygen therapy with prescribed appliances and perform therapeutic treatments, including BiPap aerosol nebulization, chest physiotherapy, postural drainage, heated high humidity, incentive spirometry, and other prescribed respiratory care modalities.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, respond to emergencies, and stabilize airways as necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Requirements:

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care, Inc.
  • Current licensure in Massachusetts and maintenance of licensure as required.
  • Three years' practical experience in cardio-pulmonary capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility.
  • Training in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation therapy practice.
