ResponsibilitiesAs a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse - VNA, you will work under the supervision of the Clinical Manager or designee and within agency and department policies and procedures. Your responsibilities will include assessing and caring for patients with various health problems ranging in severity, working in cooperation with individual patients, caregivers, and ancillary staff, and advising regarding various modalities to meet patient wellness and illness needs.
Qualifications- Graduate of a National League for Nursing accredited school is required.
- A Bachelors Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Minimum of one-year hospital medical/surgical or other relevant nursing experience is required.
- Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that is appropriate to the population of patients served.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with various software, database, and electronic records programs is preferred.
- Current RN Licensure is required in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and may be required in Rhode Island, subject to geographic area assignment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) & CPR certification is also required.
- Home Care Experience preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and can work independently.
- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.
