Job Description
The Benefits, Accounting, and Payroll Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of employees by managing and administering various employee benefits programs. This includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other company-provided benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Benefit Plan Administration: Administer company-provided benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, pay-roll, and other employee benefits. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding their benefit options and enrollment.
- Employee Enrollment and Orientation: Assist new hires with benefits enrollment, ensuring all enrollment documents are accurate, completed, and submitted on time.
- Communication and Support: Provide ongoing support and education to employees about their benefits options, changes in coverage, and open enrollment periods. Address employee questions and issues regarding their benefits in a timely and helpful manner.
- Compliance: Ensure that all benefits administration complies with federal and state regulations, such as COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ERISA. Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust internal processes accordingly.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of employee benefits enrollment and changes. Collaborate with payroll to ensure deductions are accurately reflected and manage leave balances.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with insurance providers and other benefits vendors to manage plans, review costs, and coordinate open enrollment.
- Open Enrollment Management: Coordinate the annual benefits open enrollment process, including communication materials, presentations, and required documentation.
- Miscellaneous Accounting Office Support: Provide support to the accounting office as needed with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and associated duties.
Requirements:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, payroll processing, or HR generalist positions, preferably in a retail or service-oriented environment.
- Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; SHRM-CP, Certified Benefits or Payroll Professional certification preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of benefits and payroll laws and regulations (e.g., COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ERISA, FLSA, DOL).
Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
