About the Role

The Electrical Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the oversight of construction projects that deliver exceptional results for clients, generate profit, and produce lasting client relationships.

Sturgeon Electric Company, a subsidiary of MYR Group, Inc, has provided comprehensive electrical construction services to clients throughout the western U.S. since 1912. The company has two divisions, offering both power line construction and commercial/industrial electrical construction, making it a full-service electrical provider.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the oversight of construction projects to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Develop effective solutions to issues that may arise during project execution.
  • Study bid specifications and drawings carefully to ensure accurate project planning.
  • Communicate continuously with clients to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Deliver projects in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding client expectations.
  • Attend networking events and travel to conferences and job sites as needed.
  • Work to build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and the subcontractor community.
  • Coordinate closely with crews, superintendents, and other departments within the company.
  • Ensure safety procedures and policies are in place and followed.
  • Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress reports.
  • Prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Projects and/or Primavera.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
About You

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Estimator or Project Engineer in the electrical construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
