Supervising Registered Nurse Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Supervising Registered Nurse to join our team at Troy Center in Troy, NY. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents while also mentoring and supporting our RNs.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have current New York State RN licensure, experience working in long-term care settings, and excellent communication skills. You will be expected to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient care and support the needs of our residents and their families.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and support to residents and their families.
  • Monitor residents' health and administer medications as needed.
  • Document resident care services by charting in resident and department records.
  • Protect residents and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
  • Resolves resident problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
  • A assure quality of care by adhering to facility philosophies and standards of care.
  • Maintain resident confidence by keeping information confidential.

Requirements:

  • Full-time position in sub-acute setting preferred.
  • Current New York State RN License required.
  • Long-term care experience preferred.
  • Solid computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly and team-oriented individual.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
