Job Overview

The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of their assigned account, ensuring that customer needs are met and exceeded. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage and train a team of janitorial staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and train the work of the janitorial staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Designate shift and area work assignments to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer concerns and complaints, taking ownership to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Onboard and train new employees, including hands-on training and job shadowing.
  • Perform duties as a janitor to demonstrate leadership by example.
  • Manage employee relations and performance issues, documenting and reporting to management or HR as necessary.
  • Identify and communicate special project work requirements to management.
  • Review employee timekeeping to ensure compliance with company policies and complete payroll documents accurately.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and respond to calls as needed.
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures, reporting and investigating accidents promptly.
  • Complete required training courses to maintain professional development.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Portuguese) language skills.
  • Minimum 2 years of progressively increasing management experience in the janitorial industry.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong customer service skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Able to multitask and work independently with high integrity and discretion.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
