Job Summary

The Canine Training Specialist will play a vital role in supporting client training needs, employee job training, and quality assurance for internal operations at Downtown Dog Lounge LLC.

This position requires strong communication skills, effective time management, and the ability to lift at least 45 lbs.

The ideal candidate will have trainer certification and/or at least 2 years of previous professional training experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • One-on-one obedience training for daycare and boarding dogs
  • Obedience training in a class setting
  • Evaluation of potential new dogs to daycare
  • Training and re-training of new and tenured staff on appropriate handling skills
  • Ongoing quality assurance of dog handling operations
  • Marketing to attract new clients
  • Email and phone correspondence with clients for scheduling and follow up training recaps
Requirements
  • Trainer certification and/or at least 2 years of previous professional training experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong client relations skills
  • Well-developed problem solving skills
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to lift at least 45 lbs.
