Clinical Collections Role Overview

At Surgery Partners, we are seeking a skilled Medical Collector to join our team.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with insurance verifiers, facilities billers, and office managers to resolve claim problems and denials
* Work closely with patients to resolve accounts, payment plans, and place accounts with outside collection agencies when necessary
* Identify and resolve credit balances, determining the reason for overpayments and refunding patients when due
* Notify insurance companies of overpayments and complete adjustment requests for contractual changes

Requirements:

* 2 years of verifiable medical collections experience
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards
