Speech Language Pathologist Role

About the Job
The Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI), a leading provider of rehabilitation services, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist at RHI, you will play a vital role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders in patients aged 15 and older.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer comprehensive evaluations to determine appropriate treatment programs and/or equipment needs for inpatients and outpatients, integrating age-specific needs and issues for the physical medicine rehabilitation population.
- Develop patient-centered treatment plans based on evaluations, patient goals, and age-related issues/needs to optimize treatment and functional communication, cognition, and/or swallowing.
- Accurately complete documentation in compliance with department and regulatory timelines to ensure a complete medical record.
- Provide clinical supervision, including coordination of care and delegation of duties, to techs and students according to state/federal regulations and hospital guidelines.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university required.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association required.
- Speech-Language Pathologist IN state license required.
- Current CPR certification in accordance with AHA standards or ability to obtain within 4 weeks of start date.
- One year of clinical experience in rehabilitation preferred, but Clinical Fellowship Year candidates considered.
