LPN Care Director Job Summary

Senior Living Management is seeking a skilled LPN to serve as the department head of our resident care team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geriatric care, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive resident care program that meets the needs of all residents.

• Collaborate with the Executive Director to ensure that all residents receive the highest quality care in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines.

• Assist with resident selection, admission, and orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition for new residents.

• Oversee the daily functions of the resident care department, including staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.

• Ensure accurate record keeping and proper maintenance of resident charts.

• Function as a liaison between residents, their families, and healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and care coordination.

Requirements:

• Valid LPN license.

• CPR/First Aid certification a plus or as required by State regulations.

• State required certifications, training, and continuing education.

• Demonstrated successful one to two years' experience in managing a diverse workforce in a geriatric, rehabilitation, nursing, and/or assisted living environment.

• Excellent people skills and a sincere appreciation for elderly persons.

• Ability to support the community during severe weather conditions and other emergency situations.

• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
