Senior Systems Architect/ State of Ohio

Cynergies Solutions Group is seeking a highly experienced Senior Systems Architect to lead the efforts in planning and remedying system gap analysis and creating agency-wide standards for cloud development.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading teams and remediating gap analysis reports, with expertise in Azure DevOps, .NET Core, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design principles.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommending solutions for improvement.
- Analyzing gap analysis reports and creating project plans for remediation, including overseeing and reporting on remediation efforts.
- Documenting current and future system designs and creating gap analysis and plans to resolve deficiencies.
- Consulting on application or infrastructure development projects to harmonize systems or infrastructure with the enterprise technology architecture.
- Following standards and documenting new application standards, and working with governing IT bodies to find solutions.
- Leading technology change to deliver business outcomes and virtually leveraging subject matter experts from other technical areas.
- Managing, organizing, and administering systems analysis and preparation of applications and operating systems programming.
- Working closely with product managers, product owners, and EA peers to enable infrastructure agility, scalability, and resilience.
- Creating methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control.
- Creating and delivering working, production-ready IT services that can be easily leveraged by agile teams.
- Compiling documentation of program development and subsequent revisions and prescribing standards for terms and symbols used to simplify interpretation of programs.
- Collaborating with business constituents, other EA team members, project teams, and staff in various IT functional areas as needed.
Required skills include:
- Previous experience leading and remediating gap analysis reports.
- Proven leadership to build relationships with stakeholders and development teams.
- Familiarity with a variety of application development technologies, including Azure DevOps, .NET Core, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design principles.
- 10+ years of System and/or Solutions Architect experience, with experience in software development, testing, project management, and graphic presentations.
- 10 years of full-stack development experience, including skills in Advanced Microsoft SQL, ASP.NET Core MVC, C#, Object-Oriented JavaScript, and Telerik Controls/Kendo UI.
- Experience in enterprise-level software development projects.
Highly desired skills include:
- Previous Commerce work experience.
- Experience with system development lifecycle methodologies, including agile software development, especially DevOps, including testing frameworks and version control systems.
- Knowledge of different modeling languages, such as UML and ArchiMate.
