Concord, New Hampshire, United States Soliant Full time
Job Overview

Soliant Education is a leading provider of educational services, dedicated to enhancing the lives of elementary students through compassionate care and support. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in Penacook, NH.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 to $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities

Implementing Therapy Plans

As a COTA, you will work closely with Occupational Therapists (OTs) to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans that address students' developmental needs. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in executing these plans, ensuring that students receive the support and care they require to thrive.

Direct Therapy

You will provide hands-on therapy to students, focusing on improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities under the supervision of a licensed OT. Your goal will be to help students develop the skills they need to succeed in school and in life.

Tracking Progress

As a COTA, you will be responsible for monitoring and documenting students' progress, making necessary adjustments to therapy plans in collaboration with the supervising OT. This will involve tracking students' progress, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to address these needs.

Collaboration

You will work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to incorporate therapy goals into classroom activities and enhance students' overall learning and functional abilities. This will involve communicating regularly with these stakeholders, providing updates on students' progress, and seeking input and feedback to ensure that students receive the best possible support.

Documentation

You will be responsible for keeping accurate and detailed records of therapy sessions, student progress, and communications with all relevant parties. This will involve maintaining a thorough and organized record of students' progress, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to address these needs.

Requirements

Education and Certification

We are seeking a candidate with an Associates degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field, and a valid COTA certification or licensure in New Hampshire.

Experience and Skills

While experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred, it is not required. However, you must possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, families, and educational staff.

Team-Oriented

You will be able to work independently while also thriving in a team-based environment. This will involve collaborating with other therapists, teachers, and staff to develop and implement therapy plans, and communicating regularly with students, families, and stakeholders.

Benefits

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a competitive salary and opportunities for professional growth and development. Our supportive environment is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our students, and we believe that this makes us an attractive place to work.

If you are passionate about supporting elementary students in their occupational therapy needs, and you possess the skills and qualifications we are seeking, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. Please send your resume and a cover letter detailing your qualifications and enthusiasm for the role to Halle Hughes at Soliant Education.
