At Community Care Alliance, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team. This part-time position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting others and making a positive impact in their community.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of residents in our shelter by monitoring activities and enforcing shelter rules and policies. This will involve conducting regular checks of the property and shelter floors, recording incidents, and providing crisis intervention when necessary.

You will also be responsible for handling client information confidentially, attending staff meetings and trainings, and performing shift cleaning and maintenance chores.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a non-judgmental attitude, and the ability to work independently.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a related field (an asset)
