Medical Specialist for Louisiana Location

Pacific Companies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to fill a locum tenens opportunity in Louisiana.
Duration and Schedule: This assignment will cover the duration of June, July, and August with potential for extension. The schedule will consist of spot coverage with 5-7 shift blocks per week, with shifts ranging from 6:30am to 6:30pm.
Location and Patient Volume: The hospital is located in Houma, LA, approximately 40 minutes from New Orleans International Airport. The patient volume is expected to be moderate, with day-time rounding covering 15-18 patients per day. Night admissions are covered by nurse practitioners.
Procedures and EMR: Procedures optional include Central Lines, Intubation, A-lines, Paracentesis, Thoracentesis, and Chest tubes on a limited basis. The hospital uses EPIC as its electronic medical records system.
Required Qualifications: To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must be board certified or board eligible with a valid Louisiana medical license.
Hospital Overview: The hospital is an Open ICU facility with 321 beds and is a Level III trauma center.
