Job Overview:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for completing assessments and admissions activities for inpatient units and serving as a liaison between the Nursing and Intake Departments at Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire. Responsibilities Include:
- Initial triage and medical screening
- Assessments for inpatient and outpatient programs
- Crisis situation assessment, direction, and intervention
- Nurse-to-nurse screenings for patients transferring to our facility
- Obtaining physician orders, intake calls, and pre-certifications

About the Role:
This role requires a detail-oriented and compassionate individual who can effectively communicate patient needs to unit nurses, physicians, and families. The Admissions/Intake Nurse (RN) position involves working night shifts from 7 pm to 7 am and provides a range of benefits, including tuition assistance, loan forgiveness, and career development opportunities across UHS and its affiliates.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong educational background, with a graduate degree from a professional nursing program and a BSN preferred. You must also be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas and possess certifications in CPR and Handle With Care. Certifications may be obtained during orientation.
