About the Role
As a Post Anesthesia Registered Nurse, your role involves caring for patients in the post-anesthesia care unit, ensuring smooth transitions from surgery to recovery.
You will also be responsible for monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and offering support during the post-anesthesia period.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide post-operative care for patients recovering from anesthesia in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)
- Monitor vital signs, assess patients' conditions, and manage pain and discomfort
- Collaborate with anesthesia providers and surgical team to ensure smooth transition from surgery to recovery
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care instructions and potential complications
- Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and ensure adherence to hospital policies and protocols
Requirements
- Current RN license
- BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
- 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
- Strong communication and adaptability skills
