IT Systems Specialist with Cloud Expertise

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Specialist to join our team at Katmai. As a key member of our technical support group, you will be responsible for providing administrative support in various routine processes and office functions.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud services, including Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. You will work closely with our IT prime contractor to support the Department of Energy's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, build, configure, customize, and maintain Office 365, Exchange, Skype, and SharePoint solutions.
- Provide technical support to Richland Operations (RL) and Office of River Protection (ORP) Federal staff and General Service Support Contract (GSSC) employees.
- Support delivery, escalate, and resolve user issues including subscription management services, correlation of usage and charges, and cost efficiency.
- Create the required design and support documentation for projects, systems builds, processes, and changes.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Requirements
- Three years of IT experience, including one year of in-depth technical support at the Tier II and Tier III support levels.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field of study.
- Experience with cloud services to include Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.
- Windows-based infrastructure experience and background.
- Strong PowerShell scripting background.
- AD User management and security aspects.
- General server management (Backup, Patching, Security).
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and knowledge transfer skills.
- Ability to independently perform multiple tasks with dynamic priorities.
Benefits and Compensation
This role offers a competitive salary range of $70,000-$75,000 per annum, as well as eligibility for medical, dental, vision, life & disability, personal & family medical leave, paid time off (PTO), 11 paid holidays, 401(k) with employer matching, EAP, and more.
