MRI Liaison Job Summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a skilled MRI Liaison to join our team. The successful candidate will provide coordination for all MRI outpatients between the time of exam scheduling and completion of exam. This role serves as a liaison between MRI staff and providers, ensuring seamless care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and MRI staff to identify potential exam order issues and obtain valid orders in a timely manner.

Ensure completion of patient medical and MRI safety screening prior to presentation for exam.

Verify insurance authorization is in place prior to patient presentation for exam.

Provide MRI staff with medical and environmental information pertinent to patient's current illness and exam requested.

Ensure patient is scheduled on appropriate magnet considering implantable devices, body habitus, and/or claustrophobia.

Consult with the MRI Safety Physicist in the event of any questionable implants, devices, or additional MRI safety concerns.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.

3 years experience working with office staffs or other medical specialties required.

Imaging/Communications experience required.
