About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Hematology/Nephrology team at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. This is a full-time position that requires 36 hours of work per week, with rotating day and night shifts, including every third weekend.

Job Description

As a Pediatric Hematology and Nephrology Nursing Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering compassionate and culturally effective care to patients with complex medical conditions. Your expertise will involve coordinating all facets of patient care, collaborating with diverse healthcare professionals, and progressing to manage the most challenging cases in your clinical area.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, evaluate, and revise patients' plans of care throughout their hospitalization.
  • Gather and analyze data to inform the care team and delegate tasks.
  • Promote excellent patient outcomes by adhering to evidence-based practices, nursing standards, and safety procedures.
  • Identify and address safety concerns or ethical dilemmas with unit leadership.
  • Develop effective partnerships with the interdisciplinary care team.
  • Maintain CEUs for nursing licensure and comply with annual nursing competencies and mandatory education.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of one year of pediatric RN experience.
  • Prior experience in pediatrics or area of specialty preferred.
  • Use of patient-facing technology (IV pumps, point-of-care devices, CR monitors).
  • Ability to gather and assess clinical information using appropriate healthcare technology.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.
  • CPR certification issued by an organization that appoints a hands-on instructor to lead psychomotor skills verification.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $115,000 per year, based on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.

The estimated salary range for this position is between $105,000 and $125,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
