Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Worker, you will report to the Parks Maintenance Supervisor. Your primary duties will encompass custodial and janitorial responsibilities, basic maintenance activities, and construction tasks for the Village of Ruidoso. This position requires adaptability as you will manage various responsibilities, adhere to deadlines, and maintain flexibility in your work schedule as directed by your supervisor or management.

  • Conduct custodial and janitorial services within Village facilities
  • Utilize cleaning equipment and perform minor repairs
  • Ensure cleanliness of public areas and amenities
  • Support departmental activities and events
  • Accurately complete timesheets and input time into the system
  • Perform snow removal, weed control, and mowing tasks
  • Follow safety protocols and standards

Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, candidates must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of six months of experience in janitorial, custodial, carpentry, or grounds maintenance. Experience in building maintenance is preferred. Candidates must be willing to undergo drug and alcohol testing, pass background checks, and possess a valid New Mexico driver's license.
