Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our team at the Health & Human Services Comm. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting on-site licensure inspections, complaint and incident investigations, and annual comprehensive surveys in intermediate care facilities to ensure compliance with federal and state health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections, investigations, and surveys to assess compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Communicate effectively with facility staff, residents, and other stakeholders to provide information and resolve issues
  • Develop and implement plans to correct deficiencies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on findings and recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address regulatory compliance issues
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a human service field, such as sociology, special education, or social work
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information effectively
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability

Additional Information

This position requires 80% travel, with most travel during the day. However, some overnight, weekend, and statewide travel may be required, as well as occasional on-call duties for emergencies or high-priority situations. A reliable vehicle is essential for this role.
