Clinical Nurse Coordinator Emergency Room Job Summary

As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in our Emergency Room, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. You will collaborate with our experienced team to ensure efficient throughput and excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure seamless transitions of care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create an environment of teamwork and continuous learning.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor resources to meet patient care needs.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Current Texas State RN license or multi-state compact license.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ACLS Instructor certification within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • TNCC certification within 18 months of hire.
  • Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • BSN required within 1 year. Magnet/Pathways Accredited hospitals require BSN at time of hire.
  • Certification in specialty required within 1 year.
  • Completion of charge nurse course required within one year.
