Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled School Social Worker to join our team at Soliant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and experience working with students in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies and interventions that promote student well-being and academic success.
- Offer crisis intervention services and support during emergency situations or critical incidents.
- Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources, facilitating access to necessary services and advocating for students and families.
- Provide consultation and guidance to teachers and staff on understanding and addressing students' social and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with external agencies and community organizations to enhance support services available to students and families.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations for students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Social Work.
- School Social Worker license/certification.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, social-emotional issues, and behavior management.
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and intervention strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, teachers, and community members.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and effectively handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
