Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled School Social Worker to join our team at Soliant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work and experience working with students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify student needs and develop intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop strategies and interventions that promote student well-being and academic success.
  • Offer crisis intervention services and support during emergency situations or critical incidents.
  • Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community resources, facilitating access to necessary services and advocating for students and families.
  • Provide consultation and guidance to teachers and staff on understanding and addressing students' social and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and community organizations to enhance support services available to students and families.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals and accommodations for students.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, interventions, and progress.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Social Work.
  • School Social Worker license/certification.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, social-emotional issues, and behavior management.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic techniques and intervention strategies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, parents, teachers, and community members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and effectively handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
